Landscaping Contract 2022

New Board reviewed the landscaping, chemical treatments, sprinklers, rust proofing and tree trim contracts. There were four separate companies hired to do each of these jobs. The problem was accountability for grass problems – sprinkler guy blamed landscaper and vice versa. Plus, the grass was being cut a little too short and did not look cared for.

The goal was to try to replace the landscaper with a company that also did sprinklers, rust proofing and tree trims. The Board began collecting proposals and reviewing services offered by companies in the area. The Scope of Work we sent to each company is below.

In the end the Board voted to accept the contract with When Nature Calls (WNC). This company does all these services. One of the advantages with them is they do all natural chemical treatments – so no harsh chemicals. The tree trim was not included in the contract as it does not happen every year. However, WNC does provide tree trim service when it is needed as a separate project. The tree trim was done just prior to hurricane season in 2024.
