Enhancement Committee: Cultivating Community Beauty
The JLV COA is pleased to highlight the ongoing efforts of its dedicated Enhancement Committee. This volunteer-driven group has been meeting regularly to serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Directors, focusing specifically on the visual and aesthetic appeal of our shared environment. The committee acts as a think tank, brainstorming creative and practical suggestions to elevate the overall look and feel of the community, ensuring it remains a source of pride for all residents.
From landscaping details to the condition of common area amenities, the committee members volunteer their time to observe, discuss, and prioritize potential projects. Their goal is to offer thoughtful recommendations that align with the community’s character and budget. By channeling the passion of residents who care deeply about their surroundings, the Enhancement Committee plays a vital role in helping the Board make informed decisions that preserve and enhance the beauty of JLV for years to come.
A few of the projects that have been suggested:
- Installing a raised community garden along the back fence line.
- Changing the lollipop post lighting in the community to up-light the Oak trees.
- Upgrading the entrance to add curb appear and new signage.
- Add more native plants to the neighborhood.
- Add trees to the area around the lake to stabilize the banks and return it to a more natural looking environment.
- Turn the lake into more of a park area for all members to enjoy.
